Backed by Social Impact Ventures, Bomberbot announces plans to grow their educational platform for schools

We are happy to announce the completion of our latest funding round led by Social Impact Ventures.

Since launching in 2015, Bomberbot has been adopted by thousands of teachers looking for a solution for bringing 21st-century skills into their schools. We developed a platform which helps primary school teachers bring programming into their classroom in an effortless way.

With the Bomberbot resources, teachers are empowered to bring programming to their pupils. We provide the teachers with all the material they need for teaching programming, while children get to practise 21st-century skills by playing the Bomberbot game with friends and classmates.

So far, more than five thousand teachers have started using our digital learning platform. We are excited about the increasing number of active users and we aim to use this new financing in a way that allows us to continue offering a high-quality educational tool for teachers to bring programming into their schools and maintaining the current level of excellent customer experience of our users.

We are pleased to welcome Social Impact Ventures to be a part of our journey. We are happy to have investors who believe in the importance of Impact Companies for our society, and who believe in our mission to bring programming education to children all around the world. We also thank our previous investors, Edward Nijgh, Janneke Niessen, Lu Wang, Joost Bazelmans and Andres Barreto for helping us building Bomberbot.

We are also proud to announce Jacques Eijkens, former CEO of Sanoma Learning, will be joining the Bomberbot team as a Company Advisor to support our rapidly growing teacher user base.
